All you Need to Know about Booking your Wedding Photographer

Are you in the middle of wedding planning and are feeling a little overwhelmed about booking all your vendors? Booking me as your wedding photographer is easy and stress-free! This blogpost will walk you through every step and answer any questions you might have about the process.

We just got engaged. When is the best time to inquire?

The best time to inquire is now! Even if you are in the very early stages of wedding planning, it is never too early to reach out. Inquiring does not mean that you have to commit to anything and it can't hurt to check pricing/availability early on, especially if you're planning to get married during one of the popular months for weddings like April, May, September or October.

The best way to inquire is right here, through the contact form on my website - I promise it will only take a minute to fill it out! Unless you're inquiring while I am shooting a wedding or while I am asleep, you can expect to hear back within an hour!

What do your wedding packages look like? What is included?

Knowing that every wedding day and couple is different, I offer three different options for your wedding day. All packages include a complimentary engagement session (yay!) and a second photographer for you wedding day! Want more info about pricing and my wedding packages? Inquire here.

After inquiring, what are the next steps of booking you as our wedding photographer?

I know you already have a million wedding-related to dos on your list, so I made my booking process super easy for you. Here are the three simple steps of my booking process:

1. Meet for coffee or a drink (or three) and become friends

I always meet with my new couples to get to know each other a little better. I want to find out all about you and your love story, your wedding dreams and be able to answer any questions that you might have!

2. Sign our contract

After our meeting and if you decide to book me as your wedding photographer, I will send over our contract. The contract confirms all the details, explains important things like copyright and printing rights and outlines the payment schedule. Once you sign it, I will do a little happy dance and countersign - just one more little step to make it official!

3. Make your first payment

Your first payment is a 25% non-refundable retainer and due within two weeks of you signing our contract. Once I have received your payment, your wedding date is officially reserved, you can check "finding a wedding photographer" off your to do list and we can officially get the ball rolling - and start planning your engagement session!
